Tourists in Rome enjoy a vast range in accommodation choices. Hotels range from luxurious rooms offering extravagant magnificence to more unpretentious lodging. A variety of accommodation options are available in hotels, which ensures that there is always something to go well with every flavor and budget. Since the city is a admired tourist destination, the hotel business is flourishing and offers something for all budgets

Rome hotels provide a wide range of good quality housing in the lower to middle price range. Most of the hotel chains provide excellent family accommodation. On the other hand, there are numerous small hotels, which offer Rome housing, which is of great value in comparison to the charges rendered. To find a cheap hotel in Rome is not a difficult task. At time, discounts are availed where in charges are minimized or check into lodges and inexpensive hotels. Most five and four star hotels offer all-inclusive charges.

Visitors must enquire if the hotel has an air conditioning system, as summers can get very humid. Noise may be a common setback in less expensive hotels anywhere in the city. Mostly typical continental breakfast consists of coffee, cappuccino, or tea and a croissant or rolls.

While booking a hotel, one may do so via e-mail or make a phone call to the desired hotel. This maybe followed by a mail or fax verification. Some hotels may request tourists to send a deposit. It is advisable to obtain a written confirmation of the hotel's commitments to avoid any unpleasant events.

If you opt for a hotel located in central Rome, it is very well worth paying extra for a room with a view, at least four or five floors up, as, unlike many cities, Rome is devastatingly beautiful when seen in panorama from above, and this will add tremendously to the value of your holiday.

While visiting Rome if you are considering staying in 3 star hotels it is also a good option as they will provide both the necessary comfort and facilities for the average traveler, regardless of whether visiting the Italian capital on business or for leisure. The least you should expect for your 3 star rated hotel is a private bathroom, air conditioning ,cable or satellite TV and some kind of in-room internet access, be it for free or at an extra charge.

Rome hotels are of course expensive during the high seasons, i.e. from April to June, September and October and any of the national bank holidays. If your budget is really tight, you should think about the lower seasons, especially during the month of August, when you can get a good double room in a 3 star hotel for around 70 Euros per night.
